Flying, Food, and Fun

What does this have in common withthis:
or this?
Manti of course!! The younger three kids and I had a part-week March break last week. In the interest of "getting outta Dodge" we packed up some toys and headed south to Sanpete County. I'm starting to think it's a little bit of heaven down there. Wide open spaces. Blue sky from horizon to horizon. And family who is excited to see us any time. The girls flew kites:

Our kites came all the way from China, courtesy of our Chinese exchange student who stayed with us a couple of years ago, Pengbo, and a close friend who spent a couple of years teaching English in China, Jill. THANK YOU!! This was our first time flying them. These kites were a dream to fly. We wished we had some more.

The boys played 007 in the barn and horse trailer:

It must have been tremendous fun because I couldn't get them to even come out to see the beautiful kites in the sky.
And we laughed and talked over a delicious pancake smorgasboard:

Not too sure what Kyle is thinking here. He hadn't even had any grapefruit yet.

Too bad sunset means having to go home.

Gotta love country living! Kids and adults alike can't seem to get enough of it when you get there. Love it when family lives close enough to visit.

Yay for fun. Let's do it again sometime in the very near future.

You have way too much fun! I can smell the stock trailer now. (And that's a good thing!)

Oh, and your family sitting all six of you on one little bench at church today was just way too adorable. Heartwarming!
